Pięciobój nowoczesny na Igrzyskach VII Olimpiady w 1920 roku w Antwerpii rozegrano w dniach 24–27 września 1920 r. Podobnie jak na poprzednich igrzyskach w 1912 roku, całe podium zajęli reprezentanci Szwecji.
W skład zawodów weszły następujące konkurencje:
- strzelanie
- pływanie na 300 metrów stylem dowolnym
- turniej szermierczy w szpadzie
- jeździecka próba terenowa
- bieg przełajowy na 4000 metrów.
O kolejności decydowała suma miejsc.

Program rozgrywania poszczególnych konkurencji:
- 24 sierpnia – strzelanie
- 24 sierpnia – pływanie
- 25 sierpnia – szermierka
- 26 sierpnia – jeździectwo
- 27 sierpnia – bieg
Za każde miejsce w poszczególnych konkurencjach przyznawano punkty (1 punkt za 1. miejsce, 2 punkty za 2. miejsce itd.). Zwycięzcą został zawodnik z najmniejszą liczbą punktów.
