Pierre (wymowa: /ˈpɪər/) – miasto w zachodnich Stanach Zjednoczonych, stolica stanu Dakota Południowa (od 1889).
Położone jest nad jeszcze tu szeroką i żeglowną rzeką Missouri.
Jest to środek handlowy rozległego regionu rolniczego.
W pobliżu miasta, na Missouri, leży zbiornik retencyjny Oahe o długości 320 km, wybudowany i zalany w 1958.
Z Pierre pochodzi John Thune, amerykański polityk, senator ze stanu Dakota Południowa.
W mieście rozwinął się przemysł spożywczy[2].
