Rywalizacja w wadze do 82,5 kg mężczyzn w podnoszeniu ciężarów na Letnich Igrzyskach Olimpijskich 1952 odbyła się 27 lipca 1952 roku w hali Messuhalli. W rywalizacji wystartowało 23 zawodników z 20 krajów. Tytułu sprzed czterech lat nie obronił Stanley Stanczyk z USA, który tym razem zajął drugie miejsce. Nowym mistrzem olimpijskim został Trofim Łomakin z ZSRR, a trzecie miejsce zajął jego rodak - Arkadij Worobjow.
