Puchar Świata w kolarstwie górskim w sezonie 1997 to 7. edycja tej imprezy. Organizowany przez UCI, obejmował zawody dla kobiet i mężczyzn w cross-country oraz w downhillu. Pierwsze zawody odbyły się 6 kwietnia w amerykańskim Napa Valley, a ostatnie 7 września 1997 roku we francuskim Annecy.
Pucharu Świata w cross-country bronili: Kanadyjka Alison Sydor wśród kobiet oraz Francuz Christophe Dupouey wśród mężczyzn, a w downhillu: Amerykanka Missy Giove wśród kobiet oraz Francuz Nicolas Vouilloz wśród mężczyzn. W tym sezonie w cross-country triumfowali: Włoszka Paola Pezzo wśród kobiet oraz Francuz Miguel Martinez wśród mężczyzn, a w downhillu najlepsi byli: Włoch Corrado Hérin wśród mężczyzn i ponownie Amerykanka Missy Giove wśród kobiet.

The version with a profile view was based on Flags of the World and as a fictional design has no status warranting a place on any Wiki.
