Rugby Americas North Sevens 2016 – trzynaste mistrzostwa strefy RAN w rugby 7 mężczyzn, oficjalne międzynarodowe zawody rugby 7 o randze mistrzostw kontynentu organizowane przez Rugby Americas North mające na celu wyłonienie najlepszej męskiej reprezentacji narodowej w tej dyscyplinie sportu w strefie RAN, które odbyły się wraz z turniejem żeńskim na boiskach St. Mary's College w Port-of-Spain w dniach 12–13 listopada 2016 roku.
Informacje ogólne
W rozegranym na St. Mary's College Grounds w Port-of-Spain turnieju wzięło udział czternaście reprezentacji[1]. Rywalizowały one w pierwszym dniu systemem kołowym podzielone na cztery grupy – po dwie cztero- i trzyzespołowe, a czołowa dwójka z każdej z nich zyskała awans do odbywających się w drugim dniu ćwierćfinałów. Pozostałe zespoły rywalizowały zaś o Bowl początkowo ponownie systemem kołowym w ramach dwóch trzyzespołowych grup, a następnie w meczach o poszczególne miejsca[2]. Stawką mistrzostw prócz medali były również dwa miejsca w turnieju kwalifikacyjnym do sezonu 2017/2018 World Rugby Sevens Series dla najwyżej uplasowanych – nie licząc mającej status core team Kanady – drużyn tych zawodów[3]. Pod koniec października 2016 roku opublikowano podział na grupy[4], a następnie rozkład gier[5].
Najlepszy okazał się zespół Kanady, który w sześciu meczach stracił tylko jedno przyłożenie, szansę awansu do światowego cyklu otrzymały natomiast reprezentacje Gujany i Jamajki[6][7].
Zawody były transmitowane w Internecie na oficjalnej stronie związku, normalne bilety jednodniowe kosztowały 60, zaś dwudniowe 100 TTD[5].

The flag of the Dominican Republic has a centered white cross that extends to the edges. This emblem is similar to the flag design and shows a bible, a cross of gold and 6 Dominican flags. There are branches of olive and palm around the shield and above on the ribbon is the motto "Dios,Patria!, Libertad" ("God, Country, Freedom") and to amiable freedom. The blue is said to stand for liberty, red for the fire and blood of the independence struggle and the white cross symbolized that God has not forgotten his people. "Republica Dominicana". The Dominican flag was designed by Juan Pablo Duarte, father of the national Independence of Dominican Republic. The first dominican flag was sewn by a young lady named Concepción Bona, who lived across the street of El Baluarte, monument where the patriots gathered to fight for the independence, the night of February 27th, 1844. Concepción Bona was helped by her first cousin María de Jesús Pina.
