Riverside – miasto w Stanach Zjednoczonych, w Kalifornii, nad rzeką Santa Ana, której Riverside zawdzięcza swą nazwę. Miasto znajduje się 70 km na wschód od Los Angeles. Siedziba władz hrabstwa Riverside. Według spisu ludności przeprowadzonego przez United States Census Bureau w roku 2010[1], w Riverside mieszka 303 871 mieszkańców. Należy do wielkiego obszaru metropolitalnego miasta Los Angeles mającego około 17,5 mln mieszkańców (2005).
W mieście rozwinął się przemysł spożywczy, lotniczy, maszynowy oraz materiałów budowlanych[2].
Historia
Osada powstała na początku roku 1870 nad rzeką, dzięki której w tym miejscu od 1871 r. zaczęto sadzić gaje pomarańczowe. Wokół cytrusów szybko zaczął tworzyć się przemysł przetwórczy, który przyspieszył rozwój miasta.
Druga gorączka złota w Kalifornii przyniosła miastu rynek zbytu na owoce. Liczni przybysze, którym nie powiodło się na polach złotonośnych, zostawali w Riverside pracownikami rolnymi, przysparzając miastu i okolicom mieszkańców. Te okoliczności sprawiły, że osada weszła od początku na drogę stabilnego rozwoju, a w konsekwencji osiągnęła tak liczną populację.

The flag of Navassa Island is simply the United States flag. It does not have a "local" flag or "unofficial" flag; it is an uninhabited island. The version with a profile view was based on Flags of the World and as a fictional design has no status warranting a place on any Wiki. It was made up by a random person with no connection to the island, it has never flown on the island, and it has never received any sort of recognition or validation by any authority. The person quoted on that page has no authority to bestow a flag, "unofficial" or otherwise, on the island.
Flag of California. This version is designed to accurately depict the standard print of the bear as well as adhere to the official flag code regarding the size, position and proportion of the bear, the colors of the flag, and the position and size of the star.
The Flag of India. The colours are saffron, white and green. The navy blue wheel in the center of the flag has a diameter approximately the width of the white band and is called Ashoka's Dharma Chakra, with 24 spokes (after Ashoka, the Great). Each spoke depicts one hour of the day, portraying the prevalence of righteousness all 24 hours of it.
