Semisi Sika (ur. 31 stycznia 1968) – polityk tongijski, pełniący obowiązki Premiera Tonga od 12 września 2019 roku do 8 października 2019 roku.

Życiorys

Prowadził firmę kateringową[1]. Nauczyciel w szkole Liahona High School w latach 1995-1997, travel manager w firmie Five Star Travel w latach 1998-2010 oraz dyrektor w restauracji Kaimai Burgers od 2006[2]. Przez wiele lat wspierał demokratyczne przemiany na Tonga[3]. Wybierany do parlamentu w wyborach w 2010, 2014 i 2017. Od 12 września do 8 października 2019 pełnił obowiązki premiera Tonga[4]. Semisi Sika prowadzi ponadto organizacje Liahona Alumni Association, kluby sportowe Tonga National American Basketball Association i Tonga Rugby League oraz jest dyrektorem festiwal Heilala Festival od 2000 roku[2].

A Royal Australian Air Force C-17 Globemaster returned to Tonga on Thursday afternoon bringing further humanitarian supplies for communities and families in need following #CycloneGita.

The flight delivered hundreds of shelter, kitchen and hygiene kits, 360 mosquito nets and 1000 solar powered lanterns with USB chargers among other stores.

These essential supplies will assist families while they recover from the loss of homes, reduce the risk of mosquito borne illnesses and help families recharge their phones to communicate with emergency services and loved ones.

Deputy Prime Minister Semisi Sika and Director of the National Emergency Management Office Leveni Aho accompanied Australian High Commissioner Andrew Ford to receive the supplies on behalf of the Tongan government.
