Strażnicy Galaktyki vol. 3 wchodzą w skład V Fazy Filmowego Uniwersum Marvela, jest on trzydziestym drugim filmem należącym do tej franczyzy i stanowi część jej drugiego rozdziału zatytułowanego The Multiverse Saga. Są oni kontynuacją filmów Strażnicy Galaktyki z 2014 i Strażnicy Galaktyki vol. 2 z 2017 roku. W 2022 roku premierę na Disney+ miały seria animowanych krótkometrażówek Ja jestem Groot i film krótkometrażowy Strażnicy Galaktyki: Coraz bliżej święta.

James Gunn, reżyser i scenarzysta filmu

W listopadzie 2014 roku James Gunn ujawnił, że pracując nad pierwszym filmem serii miał zarys historii na drugą część i pomysły na trzecią[17]. Pomimo tego poinformował w czerwcu 2015 roku, że nie ma pewności, że będzie pracował przy produkcji kolejnej części, swoją decyzję uzależnił od samopoczucia po zakończeniu prac nad Strażnikach Galaktyki vol. 2[18]. W kwietniu 2016 roku Kevin Feige zapewnił, że trzeci film powstanie po 2020 roku[19]. W kwietniu 2017 roku Gunn poinformował, że powróci na stanowisko reżysera i scenarzysty[20].

W lipcu 2018 roku Disney i Marvel Studios zwolnili Gunna w związku z jego starymi tweetami, w których zamieszczał kontrowersyjne opinie dotycząc gwałtu i pedofilii[21]. W odpowiedzi na odsunięcie Gunna przez studio, większość obsady wyraziło jemu wsparcie[22], a petycja, z prośbą fanów o przywrócenie go, zebrała ponad 300 tysięcy podpisów[23]. Pod koniec miesiąca Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper, Vin Diesel, Sean Gunn, Pom Klementieff, Michael Rooker i Karen Gillan wystosowali petycję do studia o ponowne zatrudnienie Gunna[23].

Disney i Marvel nadal planowały zrealizować film ze scenariuszem Gunna[24]. W sierpniu inne studia zainteresowały się zatrudnieniem Gunna, w tym Warner Bros.[24] Natomiast Marvel Studios rozpoczęło rozmowy z Disneyem nad możliwością przywrócenia Gunna[25]. W połowie miesiąca Gunn spotkał się z Alanem F. Hornem, szefem Walt Disney Studios[26]. Jeszcze w tym samym miesiącu prace przedprodukcyjne zostały wstrzymane, aby studio mogło znaleźć nowego reżysera[27]. W połowie października Gunn został zatrudniony jako reżyser i scenarzysta Legionu samobójców: The Suicide Squad przez Warner Bros.[28] W tym czasie został poinformowany przez Horna, że może powrócić na stanowisko reżysera trzeciej części Strażników Galaktyki. Horn zmienił zdanie, po tym jak zobaczył, w jaki sposób zareagował na całą sytuację. Gunn spotkał się Feigem, aby omówić swoje zobowiązania dotyczące prac nad The Suicide Squad[29]. Feige zgodził się na przesunięcie prac nad filmem, aby Gunn mógł ukończyć film dla Warner Bros. W marcu 2019 roku podano do publicznej informacji, że Gunn został przywrócony na stanowisko reżysera filmu[30]. W listopadzie 2020 roku Gunn poinformował, że scenariusz do filmu został ukończony[31]. W grudniu ujawniono, że premiera filmu odbędzie się w 2023 roku[32]. Na początku maja 2021 roku wyjawiono pełną datę amerykańskiej premiery zaplanowaną na 5 maja 2023 roku[33]. W lipcu 2022 roku poinformowano, że film jednak rozpocznie Fazę V i będzie wchodził w skład The Multiverse Saga[13].

Casting

W maju 2017 roku poinformowano, że Pom Klementieff i Elizabeth Debicki powrócą jako Mantis i Ayesha[34][8][1]. W kwietniu 2018 roku ujawniono, że Chris Pratt wcieli się ponownie w Petera Quilla / Star-Lorda[35][1], a w następnym miesiącu, że Dave Bautista powtórzy rolę Draxa[4]. We wrześniu Sean Gunn poinformował, że powróci jako Kraglin[6][7]. W kwietniu 2019 roku ujawniono, że swoje role również powtórzą Zoe Saldana, Bradley Cooper i Vin Diesel[3][2]. W maju poinformowano, że Karen Gillan zagra ponownie Nebulę[5].

Pod koniec sierpnia Gunn i Marvel Studios rozpoczęli poszukiwania odtwórcy roli Adama Warlocka. Wśród rozważań reżysera i studia byli: Will Poulter, George MacKay i Regé-Jean Page[9][10]. W październiku poinformowano, że Poulter otrzymał tę rolę[9], a w listopadzie ujawniono, że Chukwudi Iwuji dołączył do obsady[12] oraz że Sylvester Stallone powróci jako Stakar[11]. W czerwcu 2022 roku poinformowano, że Daniela Melchior i Nico Santos zagrają w filmie[15][16]. W lipcu wyjawiono, że Iwuji zagra High Evolutionary oraz że Maria Bakalova będzie głosem Cosmo[13]. W sierpniu poinformowano, że Michael Rosenbaum powróci jako Martinex[14].

Zdjęcia i postprodukcja

Zdjęcia do filmu rozpoczęły się 8 listopada 2021 roku[36] w Atlancie[37] pod roboczym tytułem Hot Christmas[38]. Równocześnie z trzecią częścią realizowana jest produkcja do Strażników Galaktyki: Coraz bliżej święta[39]. Zakończenie prac na planie do obu produkcji zaplanowane jest na kwiecień 2022 roku[40]. Za zdjęcia odpowiada Henry Braham[41], scenografię przygotowała Beth Mickle, a kostiumy zaprojektowała Judianna Makovsky[42].

Montażem zajmą się Fred Raskin[43] i Craig Wood[44].

Muzyka

W październiku 2021 roku poinformowano, że John Murphy napisał muzykę do filmu. James Gunn wyjawił, że została już ona nagrana i będzie puszczana aktorom podczas realizacji zdjęć[45].

Wydanie

Amerykańska data premiery filmu Strażnicy Galaktyki vol. 3 została zapowiedziana na 5 maja 2023 roku[33].

Famous perfume label does event tie in with fashion photographer expo...

After its debut in Tokyo, the exhibition featuring Karl Lagerfeld's photographs of celebrities and various personalities wearing the Chanel jacket is coming to Sydney.

Anna Mouglalis and Astrid Berges-Frisbey were in the mix of celebrities that attended the impressive collection presented by luxury brand Chanel.

It will be interesting to see if the hype translates into dollars for the bottom line for a embattled luxury goods sector. Any any event, good on them for taking their travelling sideshow down under to Sydney, Australia for us Aussies to check out.

Anna Mouglalis...

Along with her career as an actress, Mouglalis then began a successful modelling career. In 2002 she was chosen by Karl Lagerfeld for the advertisement campaign for the Amateur Allure de Chanel perfume and she is now one of his "muses" still promoting Chanel bags, fine jewelleries and watches today. Mouglalis was cast as Coco Chanel in the 2009 film Coco Chanel & Igor Stravinsky, directed by Jan Kounen. The film was chosen to close the 2009 Cannes Film Festival.

Astrid Berges-Frisbey was born in Barcelona, Spain. Her father is Spaniard and her mother is French-American. She is fluent in French, Spanish, and Catalan. Astrid Berges-Frisbey made her acting debut in 2007 on french television.
