Survival bike to motocykl customowy w stylu postapokaliptycznym.
Chociaż dla laika mogą wyglądać tak samo jak rat bike, są zupełnie innymi motocyklami. Diametralna różnica polega na tym, iż survival bike to wizja artystyczna swojego twórcy i zastosowane elementy są konsekwencją realizowania planu, a nie często przypadku, jak to ma miejsce w rat bike'ach.
Postapokaliptyczny wygląd survival bike'ów inspirowany jest serią filmów Mad Max.
Termin "survival bike" zapoczątkowany został przez Brytyjską prasę motocyklową jak Back Street Horses[1] i nieistniejący już AWoL w latach osiemdziesiątych i początku lat dziewięćdziesiątych.
