The Everly Brothers – amerykański duet wokalny śpiewający wczesnego rock and rolla oraz folk rock i country rock. Duet tworzyli bracia Don Everly (ur. 1 lutego 1937 w Brawnie, Kentucky, zm. 21 sierpnia 2021[1]) i Phil Everly (ur. 19 stycznia 1939 w Chicago zm. 3 stycznia 2014). Duet ten, obecnie praktycznie zapomniany, był jednym z filarów rozwoju rock and rolla i muzyki country[2].
Duet śpiewał w harmonii dwugłosowej słodkie, melodyjne piosenki o miłości. Zainicjowany przez nich właśnie taki sposób śpiewu znalazł licznych naśladowców, w szczególności wśród muzyków country, ale także i rocka. Do najsłynniejszych naśladowców tego stylu wokalnego, doprowadzających go do artystycznej perfekcji, należały duety: John Lennon i Paul McCartney z zespołu The Beatles, oraz Simon and Garfunkel. Drugim faktem wyróżniającym grupę był ich młody wiek. Gdy debiutowali w 1954, obaj bracia byli jeszcze nastolatkami (młodszy miał zaledwie 15 lat). Uświadomiło to słuchaczom oraz producentom, że muzyka młodzieżowa może być tworzona także przez młodzież, a nie tylko przez weteranów estrady.
Na początku lat siedemdziesiątych, wobec tarć personalnych, zespół się rozpadł. Obaj bracia próbowali kariery solowej, jednak bez większego powodzenia. W latach osiemdziesiątych i dziewięćdziesiątych zespół łączył się kilkakrotnie by dawać koncerty, z których pochodzą cenione albumy nagrane na żywo. W latach 2003–2004 bracia wspomogli duet Simon and Garfunkel podczas tras koncertowych Old Friends oraz Old Friends II, grając wraz z Paulem Simonem i Artem Garfunklem, a także samodzielnie wykonując swoje największe przeboje w osobnym segmencie koncertu.
W 1986 duet The Everly Brothers został wprowadzony do Rock and Roll Hall of Fame[2][3].
