Thornbury – miasto i civil parish w Anglii, w hrabstwie ceremonialnym Gloucestershire, w dystrykcie (unitary authority) South Gloucestershire[2]. Leży 35 km na południowy zachód od miasta Gloucester i 167 km na zachód od Londynu[3]. W 2011 roku civil parish liczyła 12 063 mieszkańców[1]. Thornbury jest wspomniana w Domesday Book (1086) jako Turneberie[4].

With respect, what this picture actually shows is a small part of The Plain and the top half of Castle Street in Thornbury. The High Street is behind the photographer. My credentials for saying this are that I've lived in Castle Street (further down than the picture shows) for 30 years.
