Tsubame (jap. 燕市 Tsubame-shi) – miasto w Japonii w prefekturze Niigata, na wyspie Honsiu, nad rzeką Shinano.

Miasto utworzono 31 marca 1954 roku.

Przez miasto przebiega linia Jōetsu-Shinkansen, na której znajduje się stacja Tsubame-Sanjō. Przez miasto przebiegają również linie JR Echigo oraz Yahiko, na których znajduje się 9 stacji kolejowych m.in. Tsubame.
