Flag of Verges, in Girona province, Spain. Vertically nine-striped flag, yellow-red-etc. (YRYRYRYRY). The first (hoist) stripe is itself horizontally divided into six stripes, yellow-red-etc. (YRYRYR). The third stripe bears three blue heraldical chessrooks, arranged vertically, each as high as 2/11 of the flag's height, and separated from one another by 3/22 of the flag's height.[3]
