Inside a memorial to Field Marshal Sir Willaim Robertson Bt.GGB.GCMG.GCVO.DSO.DCL.LLD - born in Welbourn in 1860, his first job was as gardener at the rectory, he joined the army as a trooper and held every rank possible.
