Opis:

The "Pistol Test Tube" experiment. The tube contains alcohol and is closed with a piece of cork. By heating the alcohol, the vapour fill in the space, increasing the pressure in the tube to the point of the cork popping out. In other words, when the force due to the pressure becomes greater than the friction force between the cork and the tube, the cork pops out. This demonstrates Newton's Third Law of action and reaction, as well as the Law of conservation of momentum. Performed and explained by Prof. Oliver Zajkov at the Physics Institute at the Ss. Cyril and Methodius University of Skopje, Macedonia.
