At the time of my visits to Poland in the 1990s, trains on non-electrifield line were almost entirely loco hauled. However a few railcars existed in traffic as virtually all of the 250 Ganz built SN61s had been withdrawn by then. In 1990 3 prototype 2-coach railcars were built by ZNTK in Poznań for trialling on lines in Northern Poland. At the time of uploading (March 2017) these units are still in traffic but scheduled for early withdrawal. However, numerous DMUs have been introduced in Poland both by national regional operator PR and the smaller regionally funded operators.
On 15 September 1995, unit SA101-002 is seen working train 3329, 10:39 Chojnice to Koscierzyna at Czersk.
