The Torino was built from 1968-76, the 1st generation, 1968-69 was an upmarket version of the Fairlane. The standard Torino was available as a 2 door hardtop, 4 door Sedan and Squire wagon, the Torino GT was available as 2 door hardtop, 2 door Sports Roof and Convertible.1969 saw a minor facelift to the grille and taillights The GT was available with either 302 or 351 Windsor or 390FE V8s and the Cobra Jet option got the 428 with or without Ram Air. The top engine was the 428 Super Cobra Jet designed for drag racing
