I had been trying to track this rare old thing for several years before finally catching it here back in April. I wouldn't normally bother with snapping the hatchback Excel, as they are still fairly common, but saloons are obviously a lot rarer than the standard hatchbacks. I had previously seen it being driven enthusiastically (well as much as you can in an 80s Hyundai!) by an older chap, who may well have owned it since new. I like the bronze-red colour which I seem to remember being common on these early cars.
