Opis:

A7 in George Street Crosville SNL357, a Leyland National, crosses the junction with Victoria Road as it passes along George Street. On the right, behind the gates and partially hidden by the trees, Phoenix Tower and a part of the city walls are visible. A close inspection through the railings will show the towpath of the Shropshire Union Canal which passes in a deep cutting at this point. On the left, the Chester skyline around the railway station is visible. The tall chimney has disappeared but the tower between the chimney and the towerblock still stands beside Shot Tower Close. The towerblock also seems to have been demolished. With thanks to John S. Turner who helped me to correctly locate this photo.
