BONE MARROW: ACUTE MONOBLASTIC LEUKEMIA (AML-M5A)

Bone marrow smear from a 17-year-old male with acute monoblastic leukemia. The monoblasts are large with very abundant cytoplasm that contains fine azurophilic granules. Several of the monoblasts show pseudopod formation. (Wright-Giemsa stain)
