Opis:
One of the bookshelves of Polish philosopher Andrzej Nowicki's library with labels in Chinese showing his interest in and love for the Chinese language and script.

Since the picture was deleted from the Italian it.wikipedia's page on Professor Nowicki by "Rojelio discussione 22:40, 8 ott 2021" with the explanation "(più intralcio che utilità)" ("more hindrance than utility"), maybe it is useful to enumerate all the titles that can be discerned in the picture:

the 4th shelf from top: - Hindi, Korean, English dictionaries; you can also find a picture of himself

the 3rd shelf from top: - books on Hegel and China; a Polish musical encyclopedia (yes, Prof. Nowicki had a great interest in both classical and contemporary music); a Russian book on the art of Portugal

the 2nd shelf from top: - Nowicki's notebooks entitled (in Polish): "France", "French literature", "Korea", "Polish poetry "," Portugal "," Hungary "," Ukraine - Meetings", "Warsaw", a German book on pre-Socratic Greek philosophy, which begins with the words "Die Fragmente der Vorsokratiker ..."

top shelf: - notebooks entitled "Spain", "Czechia", "Grand piano", "The golden book of ..." and a large folder on the right called "Bruno".

All these offer a unique and insightful idea of his workplace and of the vast scope of Nowicki's interest and of his intellectual openness an interest for the world and of the many languages he could and wanted to read.
