Fishery Biologists at Work. Research work into spawning of Salmonid species on the Glenmuir Water. Since these photographs were taken, an Open Cast Coal Site has been developed only a stone's throw away from this location. By ongoing monitoring of this water course, these scientists will be able to determine the level of pollution and its impact on fish stocks and spawning success should any arise from the mineral extraction. The aim is to identify any problems and resolve these issues before any significant damage occurs.
