Gróthúsvatn is a lake in the Faroe Islands, on the island Sandoy. It is located in Grótvík, which is on the south coast, just west of the main village of Sandoy, Sandur. Gróthúsvatn is 0,2 sq. km. It is one of top ten of the largest lakes of the Faroe Islands. The largest lake is Sørvágsvatn/Leitisvatn on Vágar island, Sandsvatn on Sandoy island is the third largest. A road passes by this lake, it connects Søltuvík with Sandur village. Søltuvík is not inhabited.
