Rank insignia of the Imperial Russian Army, here "General of the branch" – shoulder board 1909-1917 for officers of infantry, cavalry, 1st and 2nd Guard-Infantry-Division (excepted chief squadron / company) and Guard-Cavalry-Regiment. This shoulder board was also used for the ranks General of infantry, General of cavalry, and from 1904 General of artillery.
