Opis:

Yagi turnstile antenna array for reception of weather satellite signals on 137-138 MHz at the European Space Agency (ESA) Redu satellite communication station near the village of Redu, Belgium, 1969-2003. In this frequency range satellites transmit signals in circular polarization so that the signal can be received regardless of relative antenna orientation, necessitating a circularly polarized ground antenna. Each of the six components of the array consists of two 9 element Yagi antennas mounted at right angles on the same axis and fed with a 90° phase difference, creating a circularly-polarized beam of radio waves.
