Lady Sarah Lennox (1745-1826), daughter of the 2nd Duke of Richmond (and great-granddaughter of Charles II) had married Charles Bunbury shortly before this portrait was painted. It is an allegorical portrait in the "Grand manner" showing her offering a sacrifice to the the Three Graces.
