Wartime poster. Canada. The Bureau of Public Information was created in September 1939 to disseminate information about Canada’s war policies. Succeeded by the Wartime Information Board, it became a key conduit for wartime propaganda, providing deliberate messages about recruitment, industrial production, espionage, and the war effort in general.
