Male Lethrus apterus closed the entrance to its burrow purse head, to prevent the invasion of foreign species inside, while the female burrows deep in preparing food for the larvae, which will appear later. It should be noted that this beetle is very strong and hardworking, because the soil in which the excavated hole is so strong that it is difficult to pick, even the knife.
