Opis:
Rafael L. Trujillo (dark suit) welcoming newly-elected Haitian President Paul Magloire (left) in Ciudad Trujillo (Santo Domingo) in February 1951.

The army officer in white uniform behind Trujillo is his brother Hector, who will be figurehead president from 1952 to 1960.

On the far left (partly hidden) is Trujillo's son Ramfis.

On the far right (wearing dark glasses because of a glass eye) is Anselmo Paulino, who was often enthrusted by Trujillo with Haiti-related tasks. He negotiated the financial settlement with Haitian politicians in the aftermath of the 1937 massacre and later worked hard to have Elie Lescot chosen as president of Haiti.
