Opis:
Monkeyflowers (Mimulus guttatus) - detail. The monkeyflower is native to the coast of Alaska; it was introduced into Great Britain as a garden flower in 1812 and by 1824 it was found growing in the wild near Abergavenny in Wales, and with the opening of new canals in the early 19th century the water-loving plant spread further afield. The monkeyflower thrives in wet places along the edges of streams. See > 867439 for a wider view.
