Opis:

One of the handsome articulated cars which ran down the hill to the railway station terminus on Route 1. Car 63 was one of 17 acquired from Erfurt in the 1980s, this one being one of the last. A further car was acquired from Leipzig. 63 is one of a pair which still survives.

The tram carries an advertisement for one of the largest state-owned industries in Nordhausen, a diesel engine plant VEB MOTORENWERKE NORDHAUSEN. The motto is KRAFTVOLL und ZUVERLAESSIG, powerful and reliable. This concern was part of the Fortschritt Tractor combine, making engines for their tractors and also for IFA lorries.
