The U.S. Navy aircraft carrier USS Franklin D. Roosevelt (CVA-42) underway in the Gulf of Tonkin, during her Vietnam War combat deployment, on 19 October 1966. A Kaman UH-2A Seasprite from Helicopter Combat Supprt Squadron 2 (HC-2) Det.42 is in flight at left. HC-2 Det.42 was assigned to Attack Carrier Air Wing 1 (CVW-1) aboard the Franklin D. Roosevelt for a deployment to Vietnam from 21 June 1966 to 21 February 1967.
