Opis:

The U.S. Navy aircraft carrier USS Independence (CVA-62) underway. The photo was most probably taken during the deployment from 16 September 1971 to 16 March 1972 as the air wing (Attack Carrier Air Wing 7) is already equipped with LTV A-7 Corsair IIs, but to yet with the Grumman S-2 Tracker.
