Mediterranean Sea (April 15, 2005) - Marines assigned to the 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit (special operations capable) along Israeli Defense Force soldiers fast rope from a CH-46E Sea Knight helicopter onto the flight deck of amphibious assault ship USS Kearsarge (LHD-3). Marines assigned to the MEU trained with the Israeli soldiers to keep their skills sharp and to build foreign relationships.
