The coat of arms of the commune of Fărău, according to annex no. 1.1, consists of a triangular shield with rounded edges, with a silver border, on a red background, charged with a silver horse's head, looking to the left, neighing. The shield is stamped by a silver mural crown with a crenellated tower. The meanings of the elements summed up: The horse represents the courage and liberal spirit of the inhabitants of the commune, proud and harsh people, who stood up against social injustices throughout the ages. The mural crown with a crenellated tower signifies the fact that the locality has the status of a commune.
