Tyton – w stratygrafii piętro górnej jury w eratemie mezozoicznym, trwające według przyjmowanego do 2012 roku przez Międzynarodową Komisję Stratygrafii podziału jury około 5 milionów lat (od 150,8 ± 4,0 do 145,5 ± 4,0 mln lat temu)[1]; w roku 2012 Komisja poprawiła datowanie na od 152,1 ± 0,9 do 145,0 ± 0,8 mln lat temu[2]. Młodsze piętro od kimerydu a starsze od berriasu.

Inaczej, niż to się zwykle dzieje w geologii, nazwę piętro to zaczerpnęło z mitologii greckiej, a dokładniej od Titonosa, księcia Troi, syna króla Laomedona. Zakochał się on w Eos, bogini jutrzenki; piętro zyskało tę nazwę, gdyż znajduje się "u zarania" nowego okresu – kredy.
